Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Apparently I'm not alone. After waiting 3x longer than quoted, the owner tried to sit 5 of us at a table made for 2-3. When we asked for a different table, he kicked us out of the restaurant. I am not kidding here. It's like a switch flipped instantly and he turned from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde and starting to rage. We were dumbfounded as to what was actually happening, so we asked him why he was speaking to us like that? He then threatened that if we don't leave immediately, he was going to "Get the Mexican's from the kitchen to come out and attack us" ...Wait, WHAT?? He then called us stupid white Gringos and screamed at us in front of all the people waiting for tables. After reading through many Yelp and Facebook reviews, I was shocked, yet comforted to hear that many other people had almost identical experiences. If you have any respect for yourself and your hard-earned money, you will avoid this place AT ALL COST.

This new concept has already become the most-talked-about opening in Montclair in quite the while, for reasons both pro and con. First off, we'll say this: it's an awfully handsome space, with solid wooden family- style tables in tall front windows and a more intimate bar are in back. Door runs to big murals. there is also a courtyard out back, and the holy grail of Montclair dining.
