Unpolite, rude, inefficient and Racists !!!:
I would like to share the really awful experience I had with this bicycle shop.

I am a certified professional bike mechanic graduated from the University of Odense in Denmark and work full time at the biggest Cannondale dealer in Argentina so I know very well what quality customer care and support is.

Firstly the website has a really out dated interface, probably from 1998 when Internet was first launched, in many cases pictures are from the time. Information is incomplete and pictures are out dated. They need a lot of work done here in order to have a serious and proffessional website. Really awful interface.

Secondly I must of sent 7 e-mails and made about 5 phonecalls to try to find out the shipping cost of a frame....after a week with no answer I am still waiting for a shipping quote....

The website states "WE SHIP WORLDWIDE"

Tired of having no answer I spoke to Alex who is supposed to be the manager of the shop, you could hear right away from his voice he did not like to hear a customer speaking english with a foreign accent. His answers were "mmm" "yes", "no" "send us an e-mail"... absolutely no motivation at all. He did not even care about closing a deal about selling a high end frame. Their behaviour as sellers is horrible, unproffessional, unpolite, and rude

When I asked about the payment I described I could use Paypal and his answer was that yes they normally accept Paypal but since I was ringing form Argentina he would only accept wire transfer because Paypal was not secure. Well Mr. Alex I must say you are wrong, Paypal is the Number 1 US Company in Fraud detection, they are the trusted coompany to securely complete every e-bay transaction worldwide. Paypal has very strict security controls. But Mr. Alex states it is insecure hahah...The security stuff was just an invention the truth is that I was not allowed to use Paypal only because I am from Argentina...

I must warn other customers about this shop, they are unproffessional, rude, unpolite, inefficient and treat customers with a really bad humour as if it was they were giving me the product for free...But worst of all was their discriminative behaviour, the answer I got was a complete racist behaviour. That was a very serious offence to my honour as a honest customer with 100% positive feedback on E-bay just to mention a reference .

I must warn that if you are foreigner forget about gEtting an answer from them, forget about that fair treatment as a customer you might find at other bike shops. All you will get from Bikyle is a rude, inefficient and racist response. I place hundreds of orders from US shops every year and this si the first time I find shop employees this nasty to customers willing to buy from them.

Very Disappointing Experience:
I purchased a carbon FSA handlebar and Zipp carbon stem. I was charged full retail for both only to find out that the handlebars were LAST YEAR's model, though new. While I was there, I asked Alex about my rims, which were Shimano R500's which I had learned have a tendency to go out of round very easily- as I had learned for myself about 2 weeks ago. He looked at them and said they looked pretty new and didn't need replacing.

I also had called early Wednesday to order a Zipp VUMA QUAD crankset, which I told Alex I wanted to be installed for the ACS BIke-a-Thon. The crankset never got ordered until Thursday. And, even though I told him that I would pay for FedEx air shipment, they were ordered as a routine order which never arrived by Friday.

I felt that there was no interest in me as a customer, despite paying full retail for every item.

It is quite a contrast, because I went over to Cycle Sport on Saturday. Even though they were very busy, Harry took a lot of time with me, answered my questions in detail consistent with my level of intelligence and education. We talked rims. And, ultimately, he sold me a pair of Mavic Ksyrium ES's at a great price. But, beyond that, they dissembled my entire drivetrain and setup my entire bike from stem to stern at NO COST.

I have since checked out the reviews for Cycles BiKyle on the web. I see by a huge majority that my experience is consistent with others.

I know they have great stuff. And, no doubt they have great knowledge and experience. But, the aloofness of the staff and the lack of consideration for me as a person and my needs as a rider are stunning.
