Unbelievable Work:
I brought Dadds a serious challenge. A broken down, puppy-chewed, wingback recliner that I'd found at the thrift store for $35. I didn't just want it reupholstered, I wanted a custom job just for me. I've recently had spinal surgery and I needed a chair that was ergonomically designed for MY body.
To make the challenge even more fun, I'd decided that my chair would reflect my personality. That meant five different fabrics (one of which was leather).
The entire chair had to be broken down, repaired and reglued. The legs had to be cut down by four inches to accommodate my stubby stems. The footrest and reclining mechanism had to be restructured to accommodate the shorter legs. Not to mention repairing and restaining the puppy-chewed decorative feet - that I insisted color-match the leather. He had to add padding the the arms and lumbar area. There were too many modifications to mention.
The end result? My perfect chair! It's quirky and beautiful. The trim is so perfect that it looks machined. Above all, it's the first chair that I've ever sat in that doesn't cause me pain. He made me a special pillow that can be flattened, folded and placed anywhere that I need it for added comfort. My back doesn't hurt and my legs don't go numb.
I will be giving this guy more work! He really does go above and beyond for the customer.
