I am very upset with Dallas Dancewear. This is the second occassion they have made a mistake that is costing me money! In May, I purchased a black leotard that my daughter needed for an audition the next day. My daughter is a size 10 in street clothes and so I purchased her a size 10-12 leotard. After a 40 minute drive back home, my daughter tried on the leotard. It was extremely too small. It was obviously mismarked. It had to have been a size 6-8. I drove back to the store hoping to easily exchange it. The owner felt the need to debate the fact that she felt it would stretch. Finally I got her to exchange the leotard. Tonight, I went to Dallas Dancewear to purchase her dance shoes for this season. We bought four pair and four pairs of tights. When we got home we found that the box of ballet shoes were empty. No shoes in them at all...and her tap shoes were two different sizes. One was a size 5 and the other a 5.5. I am returning to the store tomorrow demanding that I get the other correct sized tap shoe and the ballet shoes that were not in the box. In the future I am shopping at Kim Lee's in Fort Worth. I have found out from other dance moms that they are about 20% cheaper on all of their dance shoes. Also, they will come to our studio and take our sizes, allow us to place orders, and deliver them to us when they come in. That is much better service than me having to waste gas on a stores careless mistakes. The people at Dallas Dancewear are very friendly, but what good is friendliness if your visits there only turn into a headache?
