I came here to post about an awesome experience I saw at the studio this past week and happen to see a couple of recent reviews. ill touch on those reviews in a bit.
my niece recently had a traumatic experience in her life that we have chosen to keep private, essentially requiring her to relocate away from her home for a short time. This made her life chaotic and stressful. the studio instructors saw that she wasn't herself, the amount of care and support they provide without asking any questions was absolutely amazing. I thought they deserved a shout out for providing a safe place for children.
As for the reviews, the only thing I would sort of agree on is the rooms seemed small for what I expected. I actually must admit that having been to the shows for the past 5 years and never actually having been to the studio, I was surprised they didn't have rooms as big as the stage because the performances have been fantastic and the kids knew where to be. According to my sister and asked her if she knew of any issues with several kids leaving as she knows the owners and the studio and she only commented that the studio does expect its students, especially the older girls to not engage in "bullying of any form" and tries to avoid having students that engage in drugs or alcohol and she thinks a couple of students were asked to leave because of one or more of these issues.
My niece has participated on the dance team for 3 years and according to my sister the competition routines keep getting better, and based on my own experiences, the shows do as well. Watched the studio have a holiday show “Elf” which the kids did a great job. Last year several dancers performed in Disney World and they just performed a couple weeks ago at a Celtics game although she couldn't do it this year because it was a school night.
I would recommend anyone looking for a dance studio to check it out in person, ask any questions or concerns you may have, and even ask to see their most recent performance which they will I’m sure be happy to show you. I think you then could make your own decision.
Sounds like 2 people that happen to write a recent review on the exact same day have some sour grapes, probably because their kid(s) were the "mass exit" they are talking about.

Highly Do Not Receommend:
My daughter went there for 11 years - as the kids got older the atmosphere got worse. She plays favorites with her own kids and participates in teenage drama. The last few dance recitals showcased her children more than anyone else's. When you a running a business you need to be impartial. The teacher and her husband gossip about students with other students. Very unprofessional and not good role models. I was very disappointed. In the time when we were there two large groups of older kids that left one right after the other - all related to a drama filled atmosphere. Not an environment I want my daughter in there is enough drama with teenage girls without grown adults adding to it.
Towards the end the recitals and dance competitions were poorly run and the girls were not ready to perform their routines. The last few theater performances were awful with kids not knowing there lines and poorly organized. You basically paid for your children to "hang out" at the studio on theater practice night.
It's unfortunate to see a business go downhill so badly - awful business management.
