Dawes Park

Dawes Park is a small park just off the lakefront in eastern Evanston. This wedge-shaped park is somewhat empty save for a few trees, benches, and a well-worn running trail. This small park serves as a buffer between the busy traffic along the lakefront and the homes nearby.

Flanked by the Greenwood Street Beach, this little patch of greenery is a tranquil place for taking a breather. Dawes Park is beautifully landscaped with a rich variety of trees, and has picturesque walking paths that look out to the lake. Due to its size, there's no sports facilities available at the park, and it's more suited to jogging or for leisurely evening strolls.
