Deer Creek Canyon Park

This diverse park, which includes over nine miles of hiking trails, can satisfy any outdoor fix without requiring a drive far out of the city. The area was once a favorite hunting ground of Ute and Arapahoe Indians. Even Jesse James was a frequent visitor in his later years. The trails are open for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
