Deer Valley Recycling is a rip off. I went there today and the manager, David, left the responsibility to weigh my metal with two children, approximately 14-15 years old who had no idea what they were doing, asking for Uncle David several times. Uncle David was far to busy to check on them because he had deserted weighing my stuff when he spotted two men with a truck load of copper tubing. I was ripped off for about $75.00 worth of metal I had brought in. When called on it, instead of helping, David started yelling at me in front of everyone that I couldn't come in and waste his time and tie up his scale for 20 minutes because my metal wasn't correctly sorted. My metal was sorted before I came, and fine-tuned by David within 5 minutes of my arrival. It took the children 25 minutes, constantly called him for help, to finish "waiting" on me. There were obvious errors, but David didn't want to be bothered with me since he had been blinded by the much more profitable truck load of copper tubing. He refused to accept responsibility for leaving the kids in charge, trying to blow it off and blame ME for not knowing the intricacies of metal recycling (that only a long term insider would know). Furthermore, I DO KNOW that the kids he left on their own, began whispering thing about my order, and the next thing I got was $98.00 instead of the $175.00 due me. I know what copper wire pays, I know the invoice is completely void of some of the metal I brought in, and I know David has his head where the sun don't shine. Don't go to Deer Valley REcycling unless you want to be ripped off.
