Since 1957, Delaware Humane Association has been providing Animal Humane Society from Wilmington. Delaware Humane Association is incorporated in Delaware.

Founded in 1957, DHA is Delaware’s premiere nonprofit no kill animal shelter and adoption center. DHA is committed to providing for the needs of homeless and owned dogs and cats in our community by offering temporary shelter, affordable spay and neuter surgery, low cost vaccination and microchipping clinics, humane education programs, and adoption/placement services to a four state area.

Each year, hundreds of animals come to DHA in search of a warm bed, good meal, and most importantly, a new home. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work hard to ensure that each animal receives the best care possible during his/her stay at our adoption center.
