Fantastic and I love that they go above and beyond for my dog!:
I had a fantastic experience boarding my dog at Deogi last week. Not only did I get the cutest Christmas picture, I came home with a little gift bag too. And the owner, Teresa, emailed me to let me know how she was doing. I love my baby-dog and love how Deogi treated her.

Poor Customer Service:
I was delighted when DEOGI first opened 2 years ago because I'd never seen a cage-free boarding environment. The owner, Teresa, had been involved in rescue for years and told me that she had started this business to have a place to foster the rescues and make it pay for itself with the boarding, day care, and other amenities. My dogs loved staying there whenever we had to travel and I felt good about leaving them where I knew they would be well cared for and lovingly supervised. So, why just one star in my rating?
It all changed this summer when I had reserved and paid $300 for a private suite for my dogs to stay over the 4th of July weekend. The pup you see in my profile photo was rescued after Hurricane Ike. His previous human caretakers had left him tied to a tree and evacuated. Needless to say, he has trust issues and I knew that he would not do well in the cage-free environment. Teresa said I would need to pay in advance since it was a holiday weekend. I paid the entire $300 in April.
When I arrived on 7/3/09 there were already 40 dogs milling around in the cage-free room and all the private suites were occupied. Including the one that I had paid for 3 months in advance. It had 2 rescue pups in it that had c@!%!*d all over the floor. I only saw one person besides Teresa working (she said there was someone else, but I never saw him/her) and it was apparent to me that the dogs would not receive proper supervision and care. Teresa refused to issue a refund, claiming that it was too late to rent out the suite although she had told me she was turning down last minute requests when I had talked to her on 7/1 to confirm my arrival time.
I could not in good conscience leave my dogs there when it was apparent they would not be well supervised, so I left. I have attempted to get at least a partial refund from DEOGI for the $300 to no avail. Teresa claimed that I had 'no-showed' and there were no refunds allowed for no-shows. I was a 'show' who was disgusted with what I saw despite my previously good experiences with DEOGI.
After trying to negotiate a resolution through the assistance of the BBB, again without results, I asked Teresa if she would give the $300 to the Dachshund Rescue of Houston organization, since she steadfastly refused to refund it to me. She could even have taken it as a charitable contribution deduction since DRoH is a 501(c)3 entity. She refused.
While I have resigned myself to never receiving any part of my $300 back, I think that others should know the truth about the way Teresa conducts business. She kept money for services not rendered. She wouldn't even give it to a charitable organization that directly benefits abandoned animals - just like the ones she professes DEOGI was created to serve. Sad...

Great housebreaking on my puppy.:
My puppy was NOT learning her house training. I took her to Deogi for their three week puppy potty training course and at the end of the training she was trained to go "potty" outside whenever I told her to do it.

All I can say is wow.

She is also boarding there over the spring break and she just loves it there.
