I have been retired since 1998 and last June I had three stents installed while living in Withee,WI....:
I have been retired since 1998 and last June I had three stents installed while living in Withee,WI.
I was automatically put on Lipitor (40Mg) the day after my first stent was installed. The second stent was installed less than a month later. The doctors increased my Lipitor to 80Mg per day. Chest pains, leg pain, and memory loss started to occur. My doctors refused to listen to my systoms, and left it up to me to figure out what was causing my pains and loss of memory, they said that all they could do for my heart was completed and just to continue on my mediations, including my the Lipitor. I read up on the side effects of this "Satin" drug and decided to slowly reduce my dosage for a three week period. I did this and all the sympstom went away. Note: In June of 2007 the day after my stent surgery my chrolestol level was 155 (I have the medical records). While in CAD-REHAB I had the staff check my records from June through November 2007, in Nov. my Chrolestrol level was 89!!. I our insurance benefits have been tapped needlessly for over $100,000 and my out of pocket expenses because of needless tests due to a incorrect protocol of the doctors. I want a full investgation and possible file a malpractice suit because of the lack of personal interest in my health when we are paying a very high cost for some doctors that are running the human race through a system medical practices that just hooks us on more pills and creates side effects that causes more pain and medical cost to our UAW/GM Health Care Plan.
