Many of New York City’s charter schools have their own parent-led committees to work with their school leader on specific issues affecting their child’s overall welfare. The New York City Charter School Center created the Charter Parent Action Network (CPAN) to convene parents from all charter schools throughout the city to discuss issues relevant to the entire charter school community.
