Worst doctor i've ever had:
Dr. Strzalka was going to operate on me to replace my bicuspid aortic valve. I saw him first in feb., 2009, and due to the many 2-3 week vacations he took several months in a row, he couldn't operate on me until july 17th.
Then, even though i agreed to the 2 months on the ventilator he told me i needed to commit to, he walked into my room and said by 2 months, he meant "at least 2 months". His p.a., maggie, had warned me earlier in the day that after he read my health care proxy, wherein i had stated to take me off the ventilator after the agreed on 2 months, that he would not touch me. Then he was cruel enough to say that since i would die in 2 months, that i might as well go ahead and die right then!!!! I've never had such a cruel, uncaring doctor.
Also, he told me that what i needed to have done was a percutaneous aortic valve. Unfortunately, he was so stupid that he didn't know that i wouldn't qualify since i have a bicuspid aortic valve. He should have done his homework first, rather than raise my hopes of having it done at cleveland clinic. He also neglected to tell me i would be a guinea pig, with a computer deciding even if i got the percutaneous valve (if i'd qualified in the first place).
I would not recommend him at all! I am not totally inoperable, but he is condemning me to death by not even trying to operate on me. Thanks to him, i am going to die.
