Rude and unprofessional:
Keep in mind that this is not an emergency room. Nobody, including me, goes there for anything serious. There is no reason for the people working there to be stressed out like an emergency room, nor are they crowded. Furthermore, it is my understanding that these urgent cares are not required to see people that are not insured or cannot pay. This means that everyone that walks in is a paying customer.

In my case, I was there because my five year old had a nasty chest cold. (There is a bill in Congress to start weakening the medical professional monopoly that will allow pharmacists to simply give us the appropriate medicine). Not wanting to wait until Monday to see his very professional regular doctor, I made the mistake of going to this this third world country dive with my son on a Saturday. Don't repeat my mistake.

I used their call ahead process by which you are put on a waiting list and they will call you when it is time for you to come in. Great idea. Instead of waiting two hours to be seen, they call when time opens up to have you come down 30 minutes early and do the paperwork and 'triage'. Not an appointment, but efficient. Well, efficient sounding.

When I arrived no one was at the reception desk. There was a sign that said "sign in here", but nothing to 'sign in' on. A woman was sitting in the receptionist area, but about ten to twenty feet back. She was sitting in a manner that I couldn't tell what she was doing, but it looked like she was playing with her phone. After standing for about 10 minutes, yes, ten minutes, I asked for her help. Without getting up or turning around she told me to sign in right there and wait to be called with a tone that said I must be to stupid to read the sign. When I told her there was nothing to sign in on, she finally got up and come over to give me the sign in sheet. By the look on her face you could tell I interrupted some very important texting or other internet based entertainment. I should have existed right there.

After signing in they had me go into a second waiting area. I expected someone to hand me the paperwork for the insurance, medical history and reason for our visit. Nope, nothing. After waiting thirty more minutes, the time I was told on the phone I could expect to spend filling out paperwork and the 'triage' before seeing a doctor, I returned to the front desk to ask for clarification. Same rude person with her back to the reception desk was there. I said "excuse me" intending to ask her about the paperwork and get clarification on what was going to happen. Keep in mind, I'd already been here for 40 minutes, and I had been told to expect another 30 minutes of paperwork and 'triage.' Her response, in the a voice and tone that was as rude and unprofessional as any I've ever experience was to say:

"Sir, you need to go back in the other room!"
When I tried to ask something, she interrupted and repeated,
"Sir, you need to go back in the other room!"

I told her no, I told her I wanted her name and I told her I was leaving.

After calling their 'complaint' line, I was given the opportunity to leave a message. I did, and will do so on every review sight I can find.

I own a business and would fire any employee that treated anyone the way this women treated me.

Avoid like the plague. Which, of course, they would not treat at this urgent care if you had it.
