Either the personnel of this store are uninformed or they are acting in an illegal capacity. Over the counter medicated ointments are tax- exempt. When I questioned the tax on my purchase I was told it was not an oral medication. Funny- another dollar store sold me a generic yeast ointment and charged me no tax! This is a vaginal med and not an oral med yet it was tax-exempt at another properly operating dollar store. The employees do not seem to know the law. And of course no one can be seen wearing a name tag!
