My car was towed due to my negligence by the Harrisburg police who were only doing their job.Dons and sons had my car and demanded 125 dollars cash for its return. Cash? My credit card was'nt good enough? Are they hiding something? I know that I have to claim all my earnings on my taxes and I believe that the towing business is considered earnings for Dons and sons. The fact that the Harrisburg police have a contract which allows cash exchanges with a private business is disturbing.

They are like most towing companies.They won't let you get your belongings out of the car even when they're still going to make money out of it by selling it for parts,scraping,etc.They want $200.00 and the title for my stuff.They make money out of you.

Don's towing towed a car from a private parking lot I actually owned. I don't have any type of agreement with him at all to tow cars from my parking lot. They obviously made a mistake but I was unable to reason with the owner. He was very loud and obnoxious lecturing me like I was a criminal. He actually blocked access to the vehicle he towed and forced me to pay $265 before he would move his truck. Unfortunately I will have to see him again in small claims court. He told me he didn't want my business which is pretty funny since I never asked him for his services to begin with. If I ever need a tow in the Harrisburg area it won't be from his company.
