Tips

What to Drink: A lengthy list of tequilas is joined by a menu of specialty cocktails and several bottled beers. Regular mixed drinks are also available, but when in Rome--or in this case, Mexico--you might as well go for a good old margarita.

Know Before You Go: Reservations are not required but the resto is popular, and the location draws a lot of foot traffic. If you want to avoid a wait, make a reservation or drop in during off-hours. Also, this ain't no Mexican street food cart. Expect to drop some money if you're ordering a full meal plus drinks.

Dos Caminos brings the vibrant spirit of Mexico City to NYC. Serving authentic and upscale Mexican cuisine, including fresh guac, killer margaritas, and South of the Border staples like Asada Tacos and fresh ceviche. The tequila and margarita menu is one of the most robust of its kind. Enjoy Wild Mushroom Chimichangas, Niman Ranch Barbeque Pork Ribs or one of their other modern takes on...

"Killer" margs and guac made tableside highlight the "reliable", "affordable" Mexican offerings at these "lively" Steve Hanson joints; "harried" service and "generic" settings don't deter its "young, energetic" crowd from kicking up a "vibrant" "party scene."

Stephen Hanson has closed Vento to make way for a Meatpacking District iteration of his popular Dos Caminos imprint.

Vento Trattoria, located in the heart of the Meatpacking District, serves up a masterful Italian experience. The casual, multi-regional Italian menu features small plates perfect for sharing.

Dos Caminos Meatpacking Restaurant Review:
The seemingly umpteenth outpost of this upscale Mexican mini restaurant empire in Manhattan is as consistently good as the others. Located in the triangular space that once housed Vento, Dos Caminos Meatpacking offers dimly lit dining inside or great people-watching outside. This is Mexican that only New York City can produce. With attention to detail, presentation and ingredients, the fancy...
