Tips

What to Drink: The more than 100 tequilas are showcased on a well-organized list, with adjective-heavy descriptions. Sample them on their own with a traditional tomato-citrus chaser called a sagrita, or stick to the downright delicious margaritas. The prickly pear version is DC's signature cocktail.

The Extras: The restaurant accommodates parties of 18 in its dining room. Private rooms for larger parties are also available.

Editorial Reviews

Dos Caminos brings the vibrant spirit of Mexico City to NYC. Serving authentic and upscale Mexican cuisine, including fresh guac, killer margaritas, and South of the Border staples like Asada Tacos and fresh ceviche. The tequila and margarita menu is one of the most robust of its kind. Enjoy Wild Mushroom Chimichangas, Niman Ranch Barbeque Pork Ribs or one of their other modern takes on...

"Killer" margs and guac made tableside highlight the "reliable", "affordable" Mexican offerings at these "lively" Steve Hanson joints; "harried" service and "generic" settings don't deter its "young, energetic" crowd from kicking up a "vibrant" "party scene."

Dos Caminos Soho Restaurant Review:
The high-octane Mexican palace on Park Avenue South was such a hit that it spawned a Soho location. A few blocks can make a big difference: The menu is the same---made-tableside guacamole and slow-roasted pork---but this Dos Caminos has an 80-seat outdoor patio. With a selection of 150 tequilas, this makes a good summer party destination. In case you're a smoker who thought you'd found a place...

Pretty people in a caged patio gorge on spicy guac and practice looking bored. Lobster tacos anyone? Steve Hanson's tequila-fueled carnival is now entrenched downtown with a sexy clientele in their best after-dark costumes. Menu more authentic than patrons, with flavor-packed posoles, enchiladas, pork ribs, and calamari two ways. Kobe beef asada astounds. Best frickin' margaritas anywhere, will...
