ATWATER VILLAGE—Momed by Alex Sarkissian has taken over the expansive indoor-outdoor space that was once The Crossing, bringing Mediterranean dishes like mezze, smoked veal tongue, pork T-bone, and other specialties to a sleepy stretch of Atwater. Consulting chef Jeremy Strubel, who worked at Bastide and Rustic Canyon, is adding a few more dishes that incorporate local, organic ingredients....

Jesse Gomez continues to expand on his successful concept, Mercado, which is taking over the former Henry's Hat and current Spoonful spot on Cahuenga. This marks the third rendition of the Mexican restaurant that first opened in Santa Monica, then recently doubled over last year to West Third Street.
