With over-the-top decor that's "right out of an old Carmen Miranda movie", this "LA institution" on Beverly Boulevard still offers a "festive atmosphere after 80 years in business"; the Mexican "comfort food" is "nothing special", but it's "nice for the price" and served by a "staff as cool as a margarita."
This place has been around even when I was a kid and I'm not surprised. I would put their guacamole through an IV if I could!
