I am constantly on the hunt for good sushi in LA - scratch that, wherever I am. To date my top vote for above average quality sushi for a reasonable price in LA goes to En Sushi in Santa Monica. While I acknowledge that better quality sushi can be had in LA at greater expense, I believe En Sushi to be a fine venue for routine sushi cravings. The restaurant is gorgeous yet comfortable. The management is always gracious – even during a run-in with the hostess where customers arriving after we did were seated prior to my group. The sushi chef’s are all excellent and friendly. The restaurant offers a variety of hot and cold non-sushi dishes in addition to sushi. The sushi is always fresh. I have never had a bad piece of sushi at En. Oh, and did I mention I’ve been going there for over 3 years.
