Care is great, service not so much:
I went in for allergy-related laryngitis. I work in tech support so if I can't talk, I can't work! The evaluation was fine. I was advised to rest the voice and got a follow up appointment. But they refused to complete short-term disability paperwork and said I was fine to go back to work. While I'm healthy enough, I still can't talk. The doctor I saw commented that this location sees a lot of my coworkers for the same problem. So they know my employer will NOT let me work with no voice. Hence the short-term disability. How am I supposed to be "resting my voice" while I'm on the phone for 10 hours a day? But wait, since I can't talk, I'll get sent home. No short-term, no paycheck. Thanks for nothing.
