Buyer beware! Do not have knives sharpened or buy from here!:
I sent Epicurea Edge the knives I purchased from them to have the sharpened. I also bought some oil to treat a cutting board I purchased. They said they would ship the oil back with the knives.
I never received the oil. I did receive poorly sharpened knives, one of which was damaged with gouges in 3 spots. I called them, sent the knife back to be reshapened, and let them know I did not receive the oil. They promised to resharpen the knife and send it back...WITH the oil. The knife was shipped back from someones home address - I think they outsource the sharpening when they bragged how all sharpening was done at the store and they were THE BEST in Washington and possibly the U.S.
I was looking at my cutting board the other day and realized they NEVER SENT THE OIL! We called Epicurean Edge (107 Central Way Kirkland WA 98033, phone 425-889-5980) back and spoke to Daneil O'Malley. He told my wife she was lieing! She explained the above story and he told her she lied about the knife too and that SHE damaged it! Mr. O'Malley does not understand that his logic & accusations do not make sense. Why would we send off a knife my wife uses 3-4 times a day to loose it for over a week...when it returns she damages it so she can pay for shipping a 2nd time to send it back and loose it for another 2 weeks? I spoke to Mr. O'Malley and explained that this is all over a $6 bottle of oil...he then called me a liar. I told him I would be contacting the BBB and he hung up.
