I would like to introduce you to our company, The Escrow Merchants. My name is Karen Mehalick I am the owner/President and an Escrow Officer. The Escrow Merchants is an all Woman owned, independent escrow company established in 1983. We operate under the laws and direction of the State of California, Dept. of Corporations and therefore are held to a higher accountability and standard than title, banking and/or broker owned escrow. In addition, because we are independent and rely on referral business, service to our clients is our primary purpose. The Escrow Merchants has over 28 years of experience in this market. We service the whole State of California. We extensively work on REO, Refinance, Purchase and Short Sale transactions. We have specialized in REO transaction for the past 22 years and are on several approved closer lists, including, FannieMae, First American National Default Title Services and LPS Default. We are also a registered vendor with Equator, handle transactions for several asset management companies nationwide and currently do business with REO Real Estate Brokers throughout the State of California.
Our rates are comparable, however, our experience in resale, refinance, exchange, short sales and REO transactions, along with our knowledgeable staff exceeds most escrow and title companies in our area. We have actually trained title company closers in REO transactions in the past.
