Worst Job Ever!!:
A typical day as a labor is one where you stand on your feet all day for $8.00 an hour without lunch and breaks. You may get a cold Arby's sandwich at the end of a long shift, but most of the time you get nothing but their disrespect and arrogance. First of all, you'll be asked to show up for work and wait until a refurbished prison bus arrives. You'll load this busted and uncomfortable bus and seat for about 30-40 minutes while some mouthpiece counts heads and does a roll call over and over and over again. A 45 minute drive to Tuscaloosa will take you an hour plus minutes. If you didn't get the memo to pack food for the entire day, be prepared to starve for the entire shifts. Tailgaters and patrons of the game and venders will take better care of you than EOG in the food department. So, if you are lucky to be around those people cooking, you're okay. They see you standing all day without breaks and food and supervision. They're not stupid. Anyway, then, some of you will get to the stadium and wait another hour and a half to sign in for work. You'll get a predetermined shift that will not factor in any of the time you spent seating and standing around. Thus, you'll waste some time of precious life which they do not care about because after you're signed in, they post you around the stadium to stand on your feet for the entire shift without lunch and breaks. Yes, most of the time you'll be standing hours before the game or the gates open. You cannot leave a post when nature calls. You cannot buy a meal because you don't get a lunch break. In the end, this gig is not a job. If you need the work, then by all means work until something better comes along. You are a day laborer so get that into your head. You're at their mercy or shall I say lack of mercy of the Black Shirts. You will lose an entire day for $8.00 an hour. My advice is find another part time gig that is more organized and considerate of you time and humanity or take the over time at your full time job. The jobs is unfair, inequitable, and demeaning. I've never worked for a company that was so inconsiderate of my time and humanity.
