never again:
The only reason I gave this shop 2 stars is because my instructor (who isn't directly employed through them) was awesome. Outside of that - con artists. Sure, they have a decent selection of gear. But what shop doesn't? They are way overpriced. Divers that don't know what they're buying think that a Zeagle Stiletto should cost $600 or that a ProMate dry snorkel should go for 34.95. The markup in that shop is ridiculous and most of the gear they are selling new divers is C@!P. ProMate fins for $90? Let me clue you people in - ProMate and Tilos are to scuba gear what Piggly Wiggly is to the grocery business. The owner is not your friend, no matter how much he may portray himself to be. Gestapo-like sales tactics, sell new divers gear they don't need or will replace within a month. They run the $99 class if you buy your gear from them. You think you're saving money - but you're not. The gear they make you buy for the deal will cost you $300 and you'll replace it in less than two months. Pay the $150 for the class and buy your gear elsewhere. You won't regret it. If you don't believe me that this shop sucks, get on scubaboard and search for their name - or better yet, go to a few GOOD dive shops and ask about them. Or even better, just go meet some divers. Everyone I've mentioned this shop to has had negative things to say about them.
