I moved to the family lighthouse on october 4, 2006. I am not good with dates but that is a day that i will never forget. I started out in the old shelter and moved to the new with all the other families. Of course we all have a story to tell on how we got there but my story does not end there. My story had just begun... I broke many rules and was given an inch and took a couple hundred miles... I was very rebelous at that time in my life and it seemed like it was in no way no matter how hard i tried going to get better. Some of the rules that i broke in turn required me to meet a man by the name of pastor michael decker who in turn put some ultimatumes down for myself and a couple of other girls. Did i listen... No... Did i try... Yes, but at the same time caused myself to be kicked out. My heart wanted to be in the right place but my actions spoke louder as they always do. Pastor decker saw something in me that at the time i did not see in myself and gave me the jump start that i needed. The family light house and pastor decker became vital stepping stones in my life that helped me get to where i am today and to become who i am today and i just want to say thak you.... Thank you and you will always be held dear to me... I am not quite where i want to be but very well on my way and thanks to you all my priorities are set straight now. My daughters and i now have the chance at life that we always deserved but my choices did not allow. So once again thank you.
