Even though Famous Dave's is a Minnesota-based barbecue franchise, the Calhoun Square location is decorated like the Loop in Chicago. There are fake elevated tracks, a “Halsted Garage,” and the occasional recording of a train screeching overhead. We don't think anyone needs a hot needle of sound piercing their eardrums while they eat, but kids and other fans of theme entertainment will enjoy...
Famous Dave's is modeled on a Chicago blues club, including Chicago street signs and an El train track. It's no surprise that the restaurant specializes in barbecue -- the sandwiches and platters are good, but you can't beat the ribs. Live blues bands entertain nearly every night.
