I took my Ranger here when a check engin light came on because it was close to where I live. The guy who set me up I'll call G. I left the truck while I was at work. He told me I had a bad vacumme hose and they could fix it for 125.00. To keep from doing any damage to the truck, I gave him the go ahead and fix it. He told me it would probably need a tune up since he thinks the spark plugs were fouled when the hose went. He called me and told me the truck was ready. The charge was $500.00. I asked, for a tune up? He said they used special plugs the truck called for. I picked it up and took it for a drive. The engine idled rouigh, so I took it back. G said, " that's how Ford 4.0 idle." I told him it didn't idle like that before the hose went bad. He blew me off. I took it back when G wasn't there and they seemed to be afraid to do anything without G ok'ing the work. I brought it back when G was there. He put a code reader on it and showed me a code and said, " a tranny sensor was bad and that's what was making my truck idle rough." I took it to a friend that owns a tranny shop. He told me that G was blowing smoke up my a.. He's a certified mechanic and told me that G must of forgot to cycle the overdrive by pass button which gave a false code reading. I think G new exactly what he was doing and was setting me up for another wallet rapeing. Don't go here. Not even just to use the toilet. Management rules by fear and no one is allowed to decide anything without G's blessing. There lisenced theives and will rip you off!
