First Presbyterian Church a Day Away

First Presbyterian Church was organized on February 17, 1855 with eleven members. Shortly after the organization of the church, a lot on the corner of West Ash and North James Streets was donated by Mr. Willis Hall to the new congregation. The church was built and completed for use in 1856 and today is deemed a Historical Site.
