This place is horrible!:
The last time I joined a gym, I went almost daily and was a member for 12 years. I ditched this dump after less than two months.
If I could give no stars, I would. First of all, this place is filthy. It is a petri dish of bacteria. The place stinks, both literally and figuratively.
The machines continually break down and are not repaired for long periods of time.
I'd heard lots of bad comments about this place before joining. I joined only because I don't own a car and my neighbor was joining so I would have transportation to get there on a daily basis.
My friend is canceling her membership as well because she's been sick on a weekly basis since joining, mostly from fungal skin infections. When running on the tread mills, I would never touch the hand rails because they seemed grimy. When we first joined, we informed the owners that the ceiling was leaking. They responded, "It's just condensation." So everyone's perspiration is evaporating, condensing on the ceiling and falling back down on the members!
I also spoke to them about the fact that they don't recycle and as a result, on a weekly basis, thousands of plastic bottles, as well tons of paper towels that the members use to clean the filthy machines, go directly to the landfill. They just laughed it off and said, "Even if we provided recycling bins, no one would use them."
They have no water fountains for the members to refill their water bottles because they want to make a profit from the bottled water and other drinks that they sell--once again, creating more waste.
I ended up reporting them to the Forks Township Council due to the detrimental environmental impact that they are causing.
The staff is extremely apathetic and you'll be lucky if you can get their attention away from the tv that is behind the counter.
