When it was built in 1895, the mill was a huge technical innovation. Today it's home to shops, restaurants, and an event center. The mill sits virtually atop the falls, north of the river.

Over a century ago, the Flour Mill was a functional flour factory. In 1974, during the massive citywide renovations for the World's Fair, the Flour Mill was converted into the retail and restaurant space it is today.
