Circa 1760. Newport, during the 18th century, was one of the busiest harbors in the Colonies. A shipping merchant, Colonel Francis Malbone, built the historic portion of this home, which includes nine of our 18 guest rooms. The newer addition was completed in 1996. In 1996, nine modern rooms were added in a wing attached to this original 1760 Colonial house. They are very nice, with king-size beds and excellent reproductions of period furniture.
