Description

The former home of the Eagles football team, Franklin Field opened in 1895 and was renovated in 1922. It's not only notable for hosting President Warren G. Harding at its first post-renovation game: Franklin Field also was the site of the nation's first scoreboard, and it was the first two-tiered stadium ever built. In addition to hosting track meets and football games, Franklin Field was also built with a tennis stadium.
