I stumbled upon Free Abortion Alternatives & Pregnancy Services of the Bronx on Google and its a huge blessing. Way better than planned parenthood staff who arent always friendly and think that everyone that seeks their service are irresponsible teenagers who want birth control, abortion, or std testing. This place was very friendly, non judgmental, and very helpful. I didnt ask for pregnancy counseling but they invited me to a room and tried to talk to me anyway. Made sure the father was involved and asked me about my plans and everything. My first counselor was a younger woman and she was non-pressuring and nice. The pregnancy tests and ultrasounds were free, they gave me free prenatal vitamins and referred me to an ob gyn. The receptionists are nice, also the nurses, and they let my boyfriend come inside the ultrasound room so he could also see the baby...that part was so awesome!

i came to this place believing they would help me out but they did not , i am not ready to have a baby and yes i do except the fact it's my fault everyone makes mistakes , the point is if your a teen in need of an abortion this place well try to brain wash you into trying to make you keep the baby , they would go so low they will show you videos of abortion and put the tools in your face , i didn't know i could leave but you could everyone has a choice and no one has the right to tell you what to do with your body . but just for everyone to know there is help out there just be sure to do some extra research .

I called to get information because a friend of mine can't afford to have her baby at the moment. They gave me information saying that they do abortions, that they'll do as much as possible to assist my friend and scheduled me an appointment the same day. When we arrived, they did not allow me to accompany my friend into the room, fishy? A man also approached me and began asking me questions in the waiting room as to why my friend was there, if she had kids, etc.. Over an hour passed and I began to worry, I asked how much longer and the guy wouldn't give me an answer. Instead he played a movie in the waiting room and fast forward to the part where the woman was giving birth. Soon after my friend came out crying! These people had her in a room saying they would help her but instead showed her 2 videos of how abortion is done, showed her the tools used for the procedure, told her how far along she was and that the baby is alive and she shouldn't kill it.
Mind you, these people did NOT ask why she's choosing to have an abortion, nor did they seem to care.
If you are a teen whose scared and know you arent prepared to bring a baby into this world, do not go to this facility.
Their purpose is to keep you there until you change your mind. They are heartless individuals who can't relate to your situation, they are there to judge and tell you what they think is right! I respect their purpose but we as women/ teens have a choice! how many children are lost in the system, abused and neglected because they were born to mothers who weren't prepared! i think that's more suffering to a child then choosing to have an abortion in your first trimester.
