Warning!! Warning!!! Warning!!!:
***WARNING, WARNING, WARNING****
After having made the HUGE mistake of believing the reviews on this website, I decided to contact them.

My very own experience is that this company has a business model that:
1. Offers the most enticing website advertisement (practically irresistible) actually. With their boasts of lowest price $195 - $595 max for service + parts. Together with their reviews of great service, if you bite, good luck!!!!

When I talked to Alex about my transmission problems, he sounded wonderful, trusting, and very humbly shared how they usually only have to do a soft build on most transmissions which shouldn't cost over $895 to $1000. If, he said, they needed to fix some hard parts, the part cost would be the only additional cost and shouldn't run that much more. Possibly as high as $1,500 or usually not over $2,000 total.

From the moment I told them I might bring my car there and gave them my contact number, they called me a couple times each day to see if I wanted them to pick my car up. The receptionist, Charity was so on top of my case, I was quite impressed, I must say. I spoke with Alex several times and he was always available to talk. Which was also impressive.

We did our internet research and based on the reviews here, we decided to give them a try. But, not before asking Alex about the negative reviews. He explained them away basically saying some people just cannot be pleased.

So, we made the mistake of taking our car to them based on their price, reviews, and their seeming sincerity.

This turned out to be more like a broadway performance. A black widow spider weaving her web.

From the moment we took our car there, they shoved a piece of paper in his face that he had to sign before they would look at his car. The paper said that you would be responsible for the labor cost involved with breaking the transmission down to see what the problem was.

Where is the free computer diagnostic? Never mentioned. This was their model. To break it down first.

My husband signed, thinking they were honest.

From the moment he signed, they were barely reachable, took days and days and days to get to our car. My husband drove up there to see what was going on. He did not even see our car. And when he needed to get something out of the car, they couldn't even find it at first. They said it was across the street. It wasn't. He persisted and they finally located it.

He said he got a bad feeling when he was in the shop originally when he heard their anti-customer service comments regarding some of the customers on the phone after they hung up.

They kept promising to call my husband and update him on the car. No phone call. Just excuses. Now keep in mind we were trying to get a diagnostic report.

As a note, we had a prior mechanic buy a used transmission and install it but we were still having problems so we took it to Free Miles.

When they finally gave us the run down on the projected cost, it was a $2200 dollar job. You see, they can add what ever part cost to you that you want. Well we were beginning to sense that there was very little honest about the dealings of this company.

So, I did more in depth research on them-because I could tell something was very, very wrong with this company.

I found out that they were rated an "F" on the Better Business Bureau site. This company comes with an "ALERT" and numerous complaints.

I also saw on another site that they have 6 reviews taken down because they had violated rules. One of those reviews had Charity's name on it (the current receptionist as of today), and a Mark A-The owners name is Mark Abrams. Funny business here I would guess.

The reviews on this site, I would be willing to bet are as FALSE AS A 3 DOLLAR BILL. My guess is that they did them or had people do them to rank them higher in the ratings. We never experienced any of the accolades they spoke of from the moment we signed that paper.

We decided that we would not risk doing any business with this company. So, we wanted our car back and asked them not to reinstall the transmission because we were going to send it back to the company that sold it to our previous mechanic.

They said we had to pay for the labor to analyze it. Alex said Mark would decide that.

My husband spoke with Mark on the next day and Mark said that we had to pay the TOP service price of $595 plus another $150 for some oil or something before we could get our car, unfixed . Now are you beginning to get the picture!! To charge us the top service cost, when they did not have to reinstall the transmission or fix anything on it. Wow!!! Then we new they were legal, greedy, self serving crooks!!!

They still kept trying to get us to let them fix our car since we were already having to pay for service. We cut our losses and got as far away from that place as possible.

We called some area transmission businesses and they felt that they were deceitful and crooked as well. This confirmed what we experienced and suspected.

We also found out that they had operated for years under another name "Reliable Transmissions" and closed down under that name and reopened with the same shady practices under the new name"Free Miles Transmissions" trying to parade as a large company on the website with all the locations, when they only have two. One in NNS and another WEB of Deceit set up Richmond.

If they were just an inept shop, I probably would have not written this review, but I wish someone had warned us before we got caught up into this Broadway production :Web of Deceit

Our experience was just like the bad reviews given, and nothing like these good ones.
