Hope NY is better than the MA location:
Having grown up in southern CT and being used to the world-class pizza of NYC and New Haven, my wife and I certainly didn't expect to find the same quality pies in the Berkshires. We did hope, however, to find a restaurant that served at least decent pizza - this long-term quest recently led us to try Fresco's Wood Fired Pizza in Pittsfield. Alas, the search for a decent pizza continues. My wife and I ordered the basic "very hard to mess up" tomato and cheese pie - simply put, it was horrible. Overladen with too much cheese, the pie had barely any tomato sauce on it, and what sauce there was, was flavored with far too much oregano. Add an underdone crust that was anything but crisp (as a wood fired pie should be) and you have a recipe for an unpleasant eating experience. This pizza was among the worst that I've had over a five year period in the Berkshires - truth be known, most frozen pies are better.
