As a new homeowner, I'm very much at a limited budget. That's not to say I'm cheap. I'd gladly pay more if I know I'm getting a good service.

In comes Friendly Plumber who was recommended by my co-worker. I needed to remodel my dated kitchen and I expected a lot from this company because of the high accolades. Checking other review sites, they seem to be pretty reliable too.

Anyway, I wasn't disappointed. The guy came on time. He finished the job even before my very tight
timeline. He was nice, and I know I got a good price.

My water heater broke Wednesday morning. I called Home Depot and paid by credit card for their guaranteed same day service. No one ever showed up in spite of my repeated calls. Finally, they told me they would try to schedule someone to come over the next day, Thursday. Right then and there, I cancelled my order. I had an important job interview for Thursday and I couldn't very well show up stinking.

I did a Google search and found Friendly Plumber's website. It said they've in business for 10 years, professional, so fingers crossed, I called their number. I spoke to their receptionist and pleaded for help. I told them how Home Depot stiffed me, and despite their fully booked schedule, they had a plumber at my house within 3 hours. He did a great job going the extra mile, and charged just a little over what Home Depot credited back to my account.

I am glad to see that this plumber is receiving high marks. They were very professional, friendly, and helpful in fixing my mom's water heater (shes elderly) in the last minute, 1 hour notice.

My kitchen faucet sprung a leak the other day. Literally "sprung a leak", right at my eye.

I called Friendly Plumber and Robert was on time, at my door, the same day. Which was a real plus for me because since they're located in San Francisco, and I didn't have to pay extra for a driving fee.

He was detail oriented in showing me the part that caused the leak, and replaced it without a hitch in under an hour - now that's professional!

I really resent paying for house expenses since I'd rather party with my extra money, to be perfectly honest. I feel I was charged a good price and was treated nicely, so I'm cool with this company.
