The General has been my home heating oil provider for 5 years now and they always do an excellent job. For repairs, they always arrive ahead of time. Thumbs up!

HORRIBLE! I've had this company under contract for less than 4 months. I repeat HORRIBLE. They don't explain in the contract until after that it's auto delivery of oil and the refuse to let you cancel it even if you don't need the fuel. Their contract cancelation fee is outrageous, the customer service is rude as anything. When the driver came to make an unannounced delivery less than a month after their previous delivery, I tried to speak to him to tell him we don't need it and he pretended he didn't see me even though he clearly looked right at me and heard me calling.They claim to have 24 hour service for your burner in case you have any problems, and when we did have problems we scheduled an appointment and they didn't show up. They claimed they showed up at 11 pm ON A WEEKDAY. Meanwhile, we were up and about the house until about 11:30 and no one came by or knocked on the door. We weren't able to get anyone there for several days and wound up fixing it ourselves. AVOID them. They are awful in every way
