We took our 6-month-old Boxer in because he had excessive diarrhea for over a week. We made sure to have a full fecal examine thinking if anything he had a worm/parasite. In addition to the loose stool he seemed overly hungry and never satisfied (even for a 6-month-old boxer). Well, they did the fecal test and nothing at all came up. Great news! I guess it maybe just a sensitive stomach issue from a type of treat we had been giving him considering the dog was displaying NO other signs/symptoms anything else could have been wrong. But what did the Vet suggest to my fiancée? Full blood-work, a prescription for antibiotics (Metronidazole), and canned “Prescription Dietâ€� dog food. Woefully accepting the “adviceâ€� from our vet, my fiancée agreed to the treatment.

$170 later:
- I have blood-work results coming back “negative�. No, really?!
- I have my dog urinating blood from giving him the Metronidazole. Thanks for sharing the side effects of this unnecessary antibiotics with us Doc!
- And I have some canned dog food that costs 3x as much as if we where to feed him ground beef and rice to create the same effect.

Can you trust this vet clinic? I sure won’t, and I will now be questioning any other vet I go to in the future. Do yourself a favor and AVOID West Burleigh Vet Clinic at all costs. We’ll be taking our Boxer elsewhere.

They did a great job caring for my dogs and cats. Would strongly recomend.
