Grand Performance & Fabrication

I met Joe Granatelli at a car show. I own a Chevelle that needs work. I retained Joe to work on my car and clean up some oversights and bring car up to better quality. Engine work, transmission, dash, dash pad, redo Bucket Seats, carb, headers, check out AC, if not working fix and make work, re-align front end clip and a long "punch list" of other minor things to make my car "my own." I was told by Joe the project would take 1 month at most 4 weeks probably.4 months later, after excuse after excuse, being told parts can't be ordered, wrong parts came in, 3 months spent redoing engine components.....(can be done in one day by professional mechanic), AC "parts not made anymore" and yet I found them in two days at another classic car shop. He uses caller ID to avoid calls. Joe takes days to return calls......I finally had to kidnap my own car to get it back. Joe took my car to a window tint shop to fix the engine…????? Joe represents himself as "expert" and one who will be working on your car. But he hires young hoodlum kids to work for him and do completely all the work. He never works on cars. He sub contracted all work out to others. I have no idea "who" they were and invoice shows nothing. He is a pretty loud and angry individual with no respect for customers. Car came back without AC working......was told "part can't be found". I found it in two days at a shop. Also was told car was done, made 140 round trip to get her up and NO AC and oil pressure guage line was busted and dumped over qt of oil into carpet. Was told "What did YOU do to car, as AC was working". Left car and was told in one week all issues resolved. Came back and no AC and left with car. I contacted the manufacturer of the closed radiator system and found out the system was installed backwards with a bunch of jerry rigged hoses all done by Joe. Took car to a car show and upon driving home, front passenger wheel lug nuts were not torqued, so almost lost wheel at 60 mph and engine blew mass smoke. I then went to Grand Performance and Joe said, "Gee you must have p@!%!d off someone at the car show and they untightened your lug nuts". Joe did not do anything about this, he blamed me. Do not go to Grand Performance Joe is smart mouthed and arrogant and rude. DO NOT USE JOE GRANTELLI GRAND PERFORMANCE. He doesn’t follow through, lies by omission and tells you one thing then does as he wants. Scam artist in Thousand Oaks.
