Just yesterday I visited GKG like I have done every weekend for the past several months throughout this pandemic. Other staff members such as Kevin, Dave, Bruno can attest to the facts of my frequent visits. Yesterday unlike any other day before I was thrown out by a security guard named Jeff before I was able to finish my drink and meal. I am a black African-American man seen as a minority amongst the demographics that come to this bar. He randomly came up to me and stated I must leave the outdoor scene where everyone else was crowded together. Telling me to go inside for the rest of the night until I decided to leave or exit off the premises. I asked him why are you trying to restrict my freedom to just indoors. He never gave me answer but insisted that he is the law around the bar and whatever says goes. At this point I was trying to de-escalate the situation and I told him I will sit down at the spot where he confronted me and finish my drink before I leave. But this security guard relieved me of my drink and forced me up and out the door. REMIND YOU HAVE BEEN COMING TO THIS BAR FOR MONTHS NEVER HAD A CONFRONTATION WITH HIM.
