Untrustworthy and probably criminal.:
This guy is a crook. Dishonest, not trustworthy. This shop is the worst fear of most car owners - liars, who will tell you one thing and produce something else, and you don't know about it until it's too late.
I bought a car from Greg's Classic Automotive. Greg produced a long receipt of work he had done recently, including some major repairs. His final assessment was that the car was in fine running order, ready to go.
I get the car, and find one discrepancy after another. He advertised the car with 70k miles, but actually the odometer shows 143k. He describes it as a strong running engine, but it actually consistently misfires and barely idles. He explicitly says (in answer to a question) that the A/C works, and not only does it not work but it actually produces a 110dB squeal making the car almost un-drivable. Oh, and the check engine light is on.
Then I take it to a mechanic that I trust for a once over, and Greg's real lies come out. The fuel tank is leaking, the power steering pump is non-functional and barely even bolted on, the tires are from the late 90s, the exhaust (which Greg just installed) is leaking in two places, there's an oil leak. Takes $3000 before it will pass inspection.
I communicated all of this to Greg via email, and his answer? "No response." He literally wrote back an email with the words "No response."
If this was my experience, do you really want to take the chance?
