The Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center is the fun way to learn about science, through various interactive exhibits and films. Children can learn about electricity and magnetism, get acquainted with the animal world as they get to 'scoop sea animals' and learn about the human body. The museum also provides group tours.
The Exploreum closes for the following holidays:
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Joe Cain Day (Sunday before Mardi Gras), Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday and Easter Sunday.
The Exploreum will be OPEN on the following Sundays and/or Mondays:
• Labor Day Weekend
• Columbus Day
• Veteran’s Day
• New Year’s Eve, December 31
• Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
