I really wish I would have researched this so called accountant before using him. The earlier reviews are absolutely correct. Harris Brooks is a liar and incompetent accountant who will not file your tax return on time but not let you know. Years later you will be responsible for late fees and other problems due to his terrible practices. I wish I had searched reviews for this business years ago. I had unfortunately used this company for many years and just found out how fraudulent he is. Tax returns filed late repeatedly with no notice to myself. I have now had to pay many fines from several years when my taxes were never filed properly. That is what I pay an accountant for. Trying to reach this business is impossible. Harris Brooks is never in his office (which until recently had mounds and mounds of paper stacked everywhere, which leads me to think he is under investigation now) and does not return calls. I tried for over 9 months to reach him, only to have to show up after hours in the hopes to catch him. He is obviously avoiding something by only being in his office behind locked doors late at night. When I did finally catch and confront him, I was screamed at, called crazy, among other things. He told me not to worry about it, that it was no big deal. Really... no big deal that my taxes weren't filed properly and I now am being scrutinized by the local tax office as well as the IRS? I am hoping that this review helps someone else avoid the huge mistake of using this so called accountant, as he is a complete fraud and should be in jail for what he is doing
