Tips

Look Good:
Staring down an hour-plus weekend wait? Tell the hostess you'll be at friendly next door gay bar The Loft. The restaurant will call you when your table is ready.

Where to Sit:
Consider requesting the backyard patio when the weather permits, but this will increase your wait time. Note that the counter/bar usually doesn't seat any sooner.

Great Breakfast:
This place has some delicious breakfast food. Always has a line so either get there early or make a reservation. Large portions, tasty food, and good prices. The only thing bad is the wait.

Best Breakfast In San Diego:
The plates are so huge and this place is always packed...be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes when you go!

On a lazy Sunday, we enjoy indulging in the brown sugar-banana...

Expect to wait an hour or more for weekend breakfast at this splashy Hillcrest eatery, whose walls display photos of farm machinery and other icons of Middle America, but whose menu takes a Southern-accented look at national favorites. The supersize portions are the main draw here; at breakfast, huge platters carpeted with fluffy pancakes sail out of the kitchen, while at noon customers favor...

Ever popular Hillcrest mainstay for three meals day serves behemoth portions of ""twisted farm food."":
In Short
Like an old roadside diner, this clever concept is a San Diego brunch staple. Inside, the famous purple wall is replicated in the front nook; a larger side room features bright...
