In the year 1895, the King’s Daughters Society, a charitable organization moved a petition to create the Haverstraw King’s Daughters Public Library in Haverstraw, New York. It was in the year 1903 that the Folwer Library Building was opened. It is one of the oldest chartered public library in Rockland County, and was constructed with brick from Mr. Folwer’s backyard.
