My mom was abused &neglected at Heather Hills. She had gone to rehab after breaking her hip, she had called the aides to her room for help using the bathroom, she was "manhandled and slammed down onto the toilet hard" on her broken hip by the aides who then "sat on each other's laps and giggled and laughed" at my mom while she was going to the bathroom. Then six or seven times that I know of my mom says she turned her light on because she needed assistance getting to the bathroom and she had to wait more than 30 minutes for an aide to come and she ended up peeing or pooping her pants and in one instance she tried to get out of bed herself to get to her wheelchair and ended up falling out of bed onto her broken hip and hurting her hip and knee. The next day I called the social worker and insisted my mom have an x-ray as she fell out of bed onto her newly repaired broken hip and was told that the doctor didn't think she needed an x-ray. I finally had to threaten legal action and then the x-ray was administered. I called the state and registered a complaint of abuse and neglect against Heather Hills. I also found the administration to not be responsive. It took three phone calls to the social worker to get one phone call back. It took two phone calls to the head nurse to get one phone call back.
