I wish i could leave a ZERO star rating b/c this place is an absolute joke. I went in for a regular cleaning/ had x-rays done. Where they jabbed my mouth and gums trying to take the x-rays..anyways I was seen by Dr. Rivero? Who i'm still questioning if she's a licensed dentist..After reviewing my x-rays..and jabbing my gums and calling out 4 and 5's (pockets) to her unskilled rude dental assistant, she informs me that I have periodontal gum disease and that i have 5 to 6 cavities. She tells me that there is no way i can get a a cleaning because she would have to do a deep cleaning/ root planing?!? I'm stunned at her diagnosis and start asking lots of questions to which I never got full responses. I also had asked her to take a look and see if my wisdom teeth were coming in or if they were impacted because I felt some minor pain in the back of my mouth. Again, no answer. At the end of this nightmare visit they hand me a $2,700+ print out quoting all the "work" i need done. Yesterday I went to a real dentist in Hinsdale, brought my xrays so they can take a look at the" awful periodontal disease" Dr. Rivero told me I had. My dentist was so shocked I was told this he couldn't help himself but laugh. I come to find out that I don't even have any pockets and have nice gums, oh and i only have ONE cavity...ONE! I was told I had about 5 or 6. They gave me a nice regular cleaning to get any tarter buildup out and even looked at a panray to figure out what's going on with my wisdoms. So what were you going to do DENTALWORKS? Fill teeth that don't even have cavities? Do root planing on my whole mouth and ruin my gums, for no reason? I'm sorry that you need production at these types of cult like dental businesses you call "the dentist" that you have to lie to patients and mis-diagnose them. I wish I would have known this because I would have never wasted my 2 hours to step foot inside this establishment. I've also just been told that they write up employees here if they don't force on x-rays to patients!!! This place flat out is terrible..stay away! Oh and the receptionists aren't the nicest either!
