Helen Keller Elementary School

Opened in 1977, Helen Keller Elementary School is a kindergarten through fifth-grade school in Kirby School District 140. Joann Greene is principal of the 399-student school, which offers art, music, PE and English Language Learners programs, plus GATE resources for gifted pupils. The mascot is the Crusader. The school's test scores are consistently above the state average.
